Welcome to July’s look into “Behind the Desk.” This month we would like to introduce you to Amy Land, a Denver native who has been a member of Third Way Center’s staff since 2010. Amy began her career with Third Way Center by serving as the Director of Human Resources from May of 2010 through April of 2013. After becoming a mom, Amy decided to take some time off to raise her two children.
In December of 2015, Amy returned to Third Way Center and currently assists with special projects in Operations and Development.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My husband, Justin, and I were both born and raised here in Denver. We have two children, Carson who is five and Hayden who is 1 ½.
What do you like best about working for Third Way Center?
The staff; everyone is so kind and so supportive. Third Way Center is a great place where great people are given the opportunity to do great work.
What do you like to do when not working?
I enjoy practicing yoga, travelling, hiking, cooking, and spending time with my family.
What would you say to encourage someone to become involved with Third Way Center?
I encourage individuals who are looking to give back to the community to become involved at Third Way Center. Mentoring, volunteering, or even donating are just a few examples of how to become involved in such a rewarding program and make an incredible impact that changes the lives of our clients.
Finally, what might someone be surprised to know about you?
I once had a pet tarantula and his name was Bacho!
Thank you Amy for being such a dedicated and supportive team member. We greatly appreciate all the hard work you do!
