Capital Improvement Projects
Many of our facilities are in need of capital improvements, and we often work with volunteer work groups and specialized individuals who are willing to donate their time and expertise. Opportunities for capital improvement projects are always available and include tasks such as: painting, gardening/landscaping and helping transport donated pieces of furniture.
Please reach out if you are interested in helping us out!
Throughout the year Third Way Center puts on and is involved in a variety of events that allow us to continue our efforts in offering truth and hope to the individuals we serve. In order to ensure that these events are reaching their full potential, we rely on help from our dedicated group of volunteers. Event Volunteers are often included in our planning committees that help with the overall planning, pre-event tasks (i.e. stuffing envelopes, event promotion), help with setup and cleanup at the events, and much more.
All Event Volunteers receive free admission to our events to enjoy their hard work in action.

True Grit Auction Solicitation
Third Way Center’s annual western fundraising Gala, True Grit, honors the “true grit” and determination of our youth. With the evening including both a live and silent auction, we need volunteers to help gather items so that the selections differ from year to year. If you are interested in becoming a Silent Auction Solicitor please contact our Development Office.
Interact with our Youth: The Truth & Hope Series
The Truth & Hope Series offers volunteers the opportunity to join us as we strive to advance our mission. The goal of this program is to utilize the skills and passions of individuals looking to help the individuals we serve by teaching classes or facilitating youth outings. The Truth & Hope Series currently consists of the following opportunities:
- Guest Speaker Series
- Book Club
- Art Classes
- Fitness Classes
If you are interested in participating in the Truth and Hope Series and have suggestions of additional classes to add to our services, we encourage you to contact us to learn more. The opportunities are endless, and we look forward to hearing your ideas.
Individuals who participate in the Truth and Hope Series may be required to complete a background check and/or Diana Screen.
For the Youth of Third Way Center, the holidays can be a very difficult time. Through our Holiday Hope Program we work to provide each resident with delicious holiday meals, stockings stuffed full as well as presents to be opened with their houses. Individuals who wish to assist with the Holiday Hope Program will be asked to spread the word to recruit more participants, help organize and purchase additional gifts and supplies, and finally deliver meal items and gifts to each of the houses.
Learn more about our Holiday Hope program below.
If you are interested in becoming a Third Way Center Volunteer please take a moment to fill out our Volunteer Questionnaire Application. Once completed you will be contacted by a member of our Development Department.
