Welcome!
Third Way is celebrating 40 years serving kids in Colorado. Voted “Best Large Non-Profit in Denver in 2009, we are a recognized leader in child placement. Our programs serve kids in foster care and residential treatment. Additionally, we have 2 state approved high schools and an assessment campus. Third Way Center’s residential programs provide an opportunity for teens to work through their problems, learn to take responsibility for their actions and become productive members of society. Third Way’s foster care program provides children of all ages safe and loving families until they can be returned home, adopted or live independently.
Our foster care program provides expert assistance to our tremendous foster families. Our hand on approach and close working relationship with our families is sought after. Right from the start this fresh approach is visible. Instead of an impersonal, high pressure information night for interested families, our program manager talks directly with you to answer initial questions and then, if you are interested, meets with you one to one to explain our program, how children and teens come into care, and address any particular concerns you may have. We want our families to experience the support we offer the kids in care, someone to walk through experiences with you.
Who are foster parents? Some of our foster parents are small business owners, teachers, a former English professor, youth pastors, auto mechanics, and stay at home moms. Maybe they are you.
