Drug & Alcohol ProgramThird Way Center employs a full-time Masters level Drug and Alcohol Coordinator to work directly with each facility and coordinate treatment services for those with drug related issues. Third Way Center does not require detoxification to occur prior to admission. Over half our residents require substance abuse services. Many residents come from drug or alcohol treatment programs and are in need of ongoing services. Often our clientele experience drug and/or alcohol abuse within their families. The Drug and Alcohol Coordinator is available for administering evaluations to assist with identifying specific needs related to substance abuse. Random urinalysis screens are also taken on residents daily in all four programs. If identified with a substance related problem, the treatment plan reflects the ongoing issues. Family involvement is an important piece of the program as drug and alcohol issues are addressed within the family system. When the family is unwilling or unavailable, then the emphasis is on determining the reality of family relationships. Developing ongoing supports in the community increases our residents ability to succeed. Individual therapy related to substance abuse is also integrated into the overall treatment plan. Prevention, education, and treatment related to substance abuse are incorporated into the ongoing services at Third Way Center.
