Development Manager

Job Summary: 

The Development Manager is an integral part of the Development Team and works closely with the Director of Development to ensure all fundraising, marketing, and communications goals are met and executed.  This fast-paced and rewarding position will be the lead on several annual giving campaigns, volunteer activities, the donor CRM system, donor recognition, various fundraising events, and internal & external communications.  The Development Manager will be responsible to collaborate with all departments at Third Way Center including operations, finance, administrative, and treatment staff as well as the Board of Directors, and other volunteer board members to accomplish goals.  As a part of the public and donor relations responsibilities of this team, the Development Manager may also be required to represent Third Way Center at various public events, meetings & luncheons.  The position will also assist in other events, programs, and projects that will raise awareness and grow this organization. 

The Development Manager is a full-time position requiring occasional weekend and evening hours and reports to the Director of Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising:
    • Lead Annual Giving Drives (Holiday & Back to School):  design giving campaign, project manage all house needs and requests, procure in-kind and monetary donations, identify and work with individual volunteers and groups to seamlessly execute activities, assist houses with their annual holiday open houses
    • Special Events:  work collaboratively with the Development Director to ensure the success of annual event and other events throughout the year including:  location, catering, entertainment, auction, programs, donor relations, sponsorship coordination and procurement, volunteer coordination, print materials
    • Donor Cultivation:  work with Development Director and Executive Director on unique ways to attract major gifts, retain current donors and acquire new donors
    • In-Kind Donation Management:  lead communication efforts with organization on house in-kind donations needs, coordinate incoming donations, manage storage inventory
    • Grant Writing:  assist in Grant research, writing, and follow-up
    • Donor Database Management:   accurate, consistent, and timely entries, updating donor and prospect information, prepare reports and other outputs, as needed
    • Donor Recognition:  appropriately acknowledge donors with information for tax records and according to the donor recognition matrix, mail receipts and forms in timely manner
  • Marketing & Communications:
    • Marketing:  work with Director of Development on marketing efforts to increase awareness of Third Way Center in the community
    • Communications:  assist in assembling content and designing all internal and external communications including: quarterly newsletters, promotional materials for events, annual appeals, holiday cards and other projects
    • Online Communications:  manage and maintain Third Way Center’s online presence through email, social media, website and other areas.  Regularly monitor online presence and social media metrics to ensure consistent growth and expansion.
  • Volunteer/Mentor Management:
    • Volunteer Management:  solicit and coordinate individuals and groups for service projects as needed by the houses and programs, and Operations Department
    • Mentor Program Management:  work with Program Director on developing mentor program policies and needs, supervise mentor groups and individuals
  • Junior board coordination:  attend monthly meetings, act as liaison between board and TWC staff, work closely with co-chairs to assist in  projects and support of TWC and ensure the group’s success

  Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a background in public relations, marketing or non-profit management
  • Computer skills, including fluent use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with fundraising CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge is preferred)

 

Special Education Teacher (Denver metro)

Compensation: $40,000-$41,500

Third Way Center's Joan Farley Academy  is looking for a full time credentialed CDE Special Education Teacher to work as a member of our team working with our high risk youth ages 13-20.  We are looking for a creative and dynamic set of people who like to be challenged and seek to learn and better themselves professionally and personally.  Strong classroom management skills needed. The teacher will be required to maintain high expectations for student achievement in an alternative high school setting. Our mission is to provide a continuum of services where at-risk youth can work through their traumas and learn to take responsibility for their actions and lives to become productive members of society.

 Our teachers are active members of the school and treatment team that carry out our programmatic goals as well as work with the youth on their own educational goals. Responsibilities are:

* classroom management including counseling and crisis intervention when needed

* knowledge of the histories and IEP's for all youth in order to give individualized care

* teaching the youth different skills based on their current abilities in order to enhance their

  opportunity for normalization and self determination

* ability to work as a team and take direction utilizing student's needs is a must.

* complete IEPs and run IEP meetings for homeroom students

Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study related to the work assignment, along with a valid Colorado Initial or Professional Secondary Teacher license with an endorsement in SPED from CDE. The candidate must also possess a current valid Colorado driver's license, have a clean driving record(no DUI/DWAI in the last five years) and criminal record, be at least 22 years of age and be able to obtain QMAP, and CPR/First Aid certification. Additionally, the candidate must pass an extensive background and DMV check as well as the Diana Screen. We follow Federal Drug Screening laws.

 

 

Mental Health Counselor (Denver metro)

Compensation: $15.10 with Bachelor's degree and full benefits.

Third Way Center is seeking full time mental health counselors to work as members of a multidisciplinary treatment team at one of our residential facilities working with high risk youth ages 13-20. We are looking for a creative and dynamic set of people who like to be challenged and seek to learn and better themselves professionally and personally. Our mission is to provide a continuum of services in a home-like environment where at-risk youth can work through their traumas, learn to take responsibility for their actions and lives to become productive members of society.
Our MHC's are active members of the treatment team that carry out our programmatic goals as well as work with the youth on their own treatment goals. Responsibilities are
*Milieu management including counseling and crisis intervention when needed.
* Knowledge of the histories and plans for all youth in order to give individualized care.
*Teaching different skills based on their current abilities in order to enhance their opportunity for normalization and self determination.
*Ability to work as a team and take direction utilizing resident's treatment plans is a must.

Benefits: We have a generous vacation package where you accrue two weeks of vacation and six days of personal time a year and you receive an additional paid week off at your second year and fourth year anniversaries. Schedule: We are residential treatment and thus are open 24/7/365. Schedules include evening and weekend hours.
